Tahlequah woman injured in accident



TAHLEQUAH — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that a personal injury collision occurred on Sept. 26 at approximately 3:07 p.m. on S 465 Rd and W 790 Rd approximately three miles east of Tahlequah in Cherokee County.

Troopers report that a 2018 Mahindra UTV driven by Kelsee Sevier, 23, Tahlequah was traveling south on County Road S 465 Road when a dog ran out in front of the vehicle. Sevier reportedly swerved and lost control overturning an unknown amount of times. She was airlifted to St. John’s hospital in Tulsa where she was admitted in stable condition with head, and trunk external injuries.
Her passenger, Shane Sevier, 22, Tahlequah, was not injured.
 
Condition of Driver Vehicle-1 – Apparently Normal
Cause of Collision- Avoiding animal in roadway
 
Seatbelt- Equipped not in use
Weather- Clear
Airbags- N/A
Roadway- Dry
