BOWLEGS — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that a fatality collision occurred Sept. 24 at approximately 5:16 p.m. on U.S. 377 just south of Bowlegs in Seminole County.
Troopers report a 2013 GMC driven by Tony Angelo, 68, Tulsa, was northbound on the highway when eh went left of center and struck a 2017 Freightliner driven by Quinton Dixon,30, Comanche, Texas.
The pickup then ran off the left side of the roadway and rolled at least three times.
Angelo was transported by Seminole Fire to Alliance Health in Seminole, with trunk-internal injuries. He was pronounced dead at hospital.
Dixon was not injured.
Condition of Driver Vehicle-1: Pending Investigation
Condition of Driver Vehicle-2: Apparently normal
Seatbelts: Equipped and in use in both vehicles
Airbags: Equipped and deployed Vehicle-1, Not equipped Vehicle-2
Weather: Clear
Roadway: Dry, 2-lane asphalt
