Bristow Woman Killed in Accident Near Castle




CASTLE — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that a Bristow woman was killed today in a one-vehicle accident that occurred at 12:16 a.m. on Oklahoma Highway 48 approximately 8.5 miles north of Castle in Okfuskee County.

Troopers report a 2007 Pontiac driven by Mari M. Parrick, 30, Bristow, was pronounced
dead at the scene with head, leg and trunk-internal injuries and transported to Parks Funeral Home in Okemah by Parks Funeral Home.  

Troopers say Parrick was traveling northbound on State Highway 48  at a high rate of speed when she ran off the right side of the roadway for an unknown reason and struck a tree.
Condition of Driver Vehicle-1: Pending investigation
Cause of Collision: pending investigation
Seatbelts: Equipped and in use
Airbags: Equipped, not deployed
Weather: Clear
Roadway: Dry, 2-lane asphalt
