Pilot Injured in Aircraft Accident




ROSEDALE — One person was injured following an accident involving an airplane in McClain County.


The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that Dwayne Hatcher, 66, Wayne, was taxiing northbound through a field in a 2004 Cosmos Phase 3 Ultralight Trike when he struck a hay bale.


The incident occurred at 7:10 p.m. Sept. 19, at 12980 Lake Road Avenue, south of Rosedale.Hatcher was airlifted to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was admitted in serious condition with head, arm, leg, internal trunk and external trunk injuries.


Troopers cite inattention as the cause of the accident.
