TEXANNA — A Checotah man is in stable condition following a motorcycle accident that occurred at 4:11 p.m. on Sept. 19 at the intersection of New Texanna Road and 1150 Road, four miles west of Texanna in McIntosh County.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers report Darrin Cooper, 58, was westbound on New Texanna Road on a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle and failed to negotiate a curve.
The bike rolled and came to a rest on its side.
Cooper was airlifted to St. John’s in Tulsa where he was admitted in stable condition with head, trunk-external and trunk internal injuries.
Troopers cite the cause of the accident as failure to negotiate a curve.
