Two Injured in Three-Vehicle Accident Near Okmulgee



OKMULGEE — A three vehicle accident that occurred at 6:57 a.m. on Sept. 15 at the intersection of U.S. 62 and Skyline Drive, two miles east of Okmulgee in Okmulgee County injured two.

Troopers report a 2005 Chevy Silverado driven by Christopher Lemon, 36, of Eudora, Kan., lost a front right wheel and crossed the center line and struck a 2015 Dodge Ram 2500 driven by Hale Keigh, 53, Okmulgee, on the driver’s side. A 2013 Ford Escape driven by Miranda Stratton, 33, Henryetta, then struck the Dodge Ram on the driver’s side front.

Lemon refused treatment.

Keith was transported to Okmulgee Memorial Hospital, where she was treated and released with arm injuries.  

Stratton was airlifted to St. John’s in Tulsa where she admitted in stable condition with arm, leg and trunk internal injuries.

Cause of Collision:  Defective Vehicle on Vehicle-1

Seatbelts – Equipped; in use by all drivers

Airbags – Equipped; deployed on all vehicles

Weather - Clear


Investigated by Trooper Henry Perryman No.604 of the Tulsa County Detachment of Troop B. Assisted By FTT Trooper Dustin Smith No. 327 also of the Tulsa County Detachment of Troop B, Okmulgee Police Department and Okmulgee Fire Department.
