GROVE — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that an injury collision occurred on Sept. 20 at 11:20 a.m. on County Road 240 approximately nine feet west of County Road 680, six miles west and four miles north of Grove, in Delaware County.
Troopers report a 2018 Ford F-150, driven by Jason Lee Minton, 36, Tulsa, was eastbound on CR 240 and a 2004 Chevy Silverado, driven by juvenile age 16 of Grove was westbound on CR 240.
Minton attempted to turn northbound onto County Road 680, failing to yield to the teen.
The teen’s vehicle struck Minton’s truck in the intersection causing Minton to depart the roadway to the south and the teen to depart the roadway to the north.
Minton was transported by Grove EMS to Grove ER where he was treated and released.
The teen was airlifted to St Francis Hospital in Tulsa, where he was admitted in fair condition with head, trunk internal, trunk external, arm, and leg injuries.
A passenger in the teen’s vehicle, a 15-year-old male of Grove, was airlifted to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa and admitted in good condition with arm and leg injuries.
