Arkansas resident injured in Haskell County

                                              

MCCURTAIN — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that a personal injury collision occurred Sept. 28 at approximately 8:32 a.m. on State Highway 31 at County Road (NS 4510), one mile west of McCurtain in Haskell County.

Troopers report a  2003 Mercury Sable driven by Jonathan Schafer, 19, Fort Smith, Ark. was traveling eastbound on SH-31 and lost control of the vehicle and ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.


Schafer was airlifted to St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa where he was admitted in critical condition with head, trunk, arms, and legs injuries.

 

Condition of Driver Vehicle-1 – Unknown  

Cause of Collision- Under investigation 

 

Seatbelt- Equipped in use

Airbag- Equipped-not activated

Weather- Clear

Roadway- Dry
